Crows Best Ever Start to Season

The win against Gold Coast over the weekend gives the Crows a 5 win, 0 loss start to the 2017 season. This is the best ever start to a season for the AFC. The previous best was in 1996 when the Crows won their first four games and sat top of the ladder after round 4. It was a dramatic downfall from there however, with the team winning only four more games for the rest of the season to eventually drop to 12th position by the end of the season. The disappointing 1996 season was Robert Shaw’s second year at the club and it came after another poor season in 1995. The end result was that Shaw was replaced by Malcom Blight in 1997 – a year that finished a little better for the Crows…
